- 400 g ground beef
- 800 g tomatoes (chopped, canned)
- 100 ml red wine (optional)
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 100 g parsley
- 20 g Grana Padano
- 1 onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 egg
- 50 g breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp paprika powder
- 4 tbsp Italian herbs
- flour (for dusting)
- salt

Instructions
-
Place the ground beef, breadcrumbs, 1 tbsp Italian herbs, paprika powder, salt, and black pepper into a
bowl and mix by hand.
- Shape the meat mixture into meatballs and dust them with flour.
- Sear the meatballs in a pan with a little oil, then set them aside.
- Bring a pot of water with plenty of salt to a boil and add the spaghetti.
- In the same pan, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent. Optionally deglaze with the red wine and let it reduce slightly.
- Add the tomato paste, the remaining 3 tbsp Italian herbs and the chopped tomatoes, bring to a boil, then let simmer over low heat until slightly reduced.
- Add the Grana Padano.
- Pluck the parsley leaves, roughly chop them, and stir them into the tomatoes.
- Add the meatballs and heat through again for 2–3 minutes.
-
Drain the spaghetti slightly and add them to the tomatoes together with a
ladle (or two) of pasta water, then stir everything together.
